have you even tried to buy one of the rarer minis? its virtually impossible to find a seller with only a limited amount of them around. thats why they were offering obscene amounts of money for them in the first place.

Im freaking scared now, I spent my time reinvesting my funds into black dye now this duping crap happens. Now not only did my reinvestment plan crash like enron but now I am a likely target for the banhammer just for my storage.

Way to go hackers, thanks for f***ing it up for everyone.

Exactly. Their plan may have been to introduce many, many more copies of certain rare minipets, either for their benefit or to pass onto the masses (they take up room, not stackable). Either way - very wrong.

wow. exploits exist in every game, you can't blame the company for "ruining" this game. did any of you think this was possible 2 days ago? i didn't. and neither did they, this is the most pervasive exploitation of a core part of this game that is imaginable. these people have literally made everything worthless.

Likely this won't have as big of an impact as we think, only on Ambraces...I don't think many people realized about the "We can duplicate other items too" for a while....

don't pray for a roll back, this exploit is now clearly about a month old.

No more than what anet has been doing. But thats a topic for another subject.

They should ban everyone that got involved with it, no questions asked on that.

what exactly happens in a roll back? everything you've done in the past month or so gets erased?

A 1 month roll back would be catastrophic. Thousands would quit instantly, ANet would be trashed for ever, and GWEN sales with take a SHARP dive.

think of it like a time machine. you use it to go back into the past 1 month, so everything you did in the past month hasnt happened.

I'm willing to bet Armbraces were just the tip of the iceberg, and that the ones who were originally intelligent to figure out the duping process were intelligent enough to do so without getting caught.

No telling how many illegitimate items are circulating right now and honestly, anything you own could be a direct result of someone's 30sec duping process...

Waaaaaaaaaay too many people'll be pissed about a rollback, so don't worry about one happening.

the sad thing is that its just a variation of the old dupe method back from Diablo 1 (not Diablo 2) . ..

Im guessing probly a 12-24 hour rollback due to this becoming public knowledge and masses of ppl "testing" it. Sigh.
